Instructor
Julie Cichero, PhD, is an Honorary Associate Professor with the School of Pharmacy, The University of Queensland, Australia, and the Co-Founder of IDDSI (Global). Julie is recognized internationally as a clinical and research professional with more than 30 years clinical and research experience into eating, drinking, dysphagia and the use of cervical auscultation in dysphagia management. Course Highlights
Hands-on lab. (Jan 19 or 20, 2027): Highly practical for cervical auscultation (CA) with practical exercises and opportunities for general and specific acoustic training using stethoscopes
Lecture (Jan 18, 2027, f2f or Zoom): Speech therapists’ role in the management of feeding issues related to dementia, aged care and palliative, and the strategies to assist with feeding, and managing ethical and quality of life issues in these populations
